Description
Cars are in original, unopened, brown shipper boxes (see photo). The Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS kit comes in an impressive 578-page long manual with a total of 856 steps in the instructions. It is a 1:8 scale model of the 911. LEGO worked with Porsche to replicate the build process for an actual GT3 RS, allowing Lego builders to follow Stuttgart's actual production sequence as closely as possible. The doors open and close, as does the engine-compartment and front lids. There's a fully adjustable wing at the rear, and a gear bag in the boot. In addition, LEGO has created a replica four-speed version of Porsche's PDK dual-clutch transmission, with rubber-band-tensioned paddle shifters and a drive selector with forward and reverse settings. The gearbox meets a horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine with moving pistons and the steering works, too, and the wheels attach to fully articulated suspension hardware, complete with red dampers. At a PPC of about 11 cents USD, and the amazing detail of the set, this will sure to be a collectors (and car buffs) dream set. ----- LEGO 42083 Bugatti Chiron is a Technic set released in 2018, containing 3599 pieces. The 1:8 scale model reproduces the Chiron’s aerodynamic bodywork, functional steering, an 8-speed gearbox, and a W16 engine with moving pistons. An included speed key engages speed mode by raising the active rear wing via a slot above the left rear tire. Developed in collaboration with Bugatti, the model features a duo-tone blue color scheme and branded details. ----- LEGO 42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is a Technic Licensed set released in 2020, containing 3,696 pieces. The model replicates the Sián’s engineering with an 8-speed transmission, a V12 engine with moving pistons, 4-wheel drive, and scissor-opening doors. It comes in a presentation box and includes an exclusive collector’s booklet with building instructions, images, and behind-the-scenes interviews from the LEGO Group and Automobili Lamborghini. The set launched on June 1, 2020 without VIP early access, and the front of the box features a stylized image of the Sián’s hood with the Lamborghini emblem. ----- LEGO 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a Technic Ultimate Car Concept set released in 2022, containing 3778 pieces. It is a 1:8 scale model developed in collaboration with Ferrari and represents the V12-powered Daytona SP3. The build features working steering, a functional V12 engine, an 8-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters, opening butterfly doors, a removable roof, and suspension with shock absorbers. It is the fourth release in the Technic Ultimate Car Concept series, and LEGO also issued a separate limited-run book, The Sense of Perfection, documenting the set’s design and development. ----- LEGO 42125 Ferrari 488 GTE ‘AF Corse #51’ is a Technic Licensed set released in 2021, containing 1677 pieces. It builds a model of the Ferrari 488 GTE endurance racer in AF Corse #51 livery with detailed bodywork. Functional features include independent front and rear suspension, opening doors, a V8 engine with moving pistons, and working steering. ----- LEGO 42096 Porsche 911 RSR is a Technic Licensed set released in 2019, containing 1,580 pieces. Developed in collaboration with Porsche, it models the 911 RSR race car used in LM GTE and IMSA GTLM competition. The build includes aerodynamic details such as a rear wing with swan-neck mounts, an extended rear diffuser, and specially designed side mirrors. Functional elements comprise a visible working differential, independent suspension, a six-cylinder boxer engine with moving pistons, functional steering, and a cockpit with a radar screen, fire extinguisher system, and a printed Laguna Seca track map.
